Payments & Billing

What we accept

Visa · Mastercard · American Express · Discover · JCB · Diners Club · Apple Pay · Google Pay

All payments are processed through Authorize.net, a Visa company.

What our charge looks like on your statement

Our charge appears as ALT F4 LLC, followed by a phone number and MO — Missouri, where we're registered.

If you see a charge you don't recognize and it looks like that, it's us. Email support@altf4.codes anyway and we'll pull the order up. We would much rather answer that email than have you dispute a charge that was yours all along.

Why there's a processing fee

Depending on the payment method you choose, the payment provider charges a transaction fee.

We show it as its own line at checkout. It is not folded into the product price, and it will not appear for the first time on the last screen. You will know the full amount before you pay.

We'd rather show you a fee than hide it in a price and call the price honest.

Where your card data goes

We never see your card number.

Your card details are entered into Shopify's checkout and processed through Authorize.net. They are handled by those providers' systems. They do not land on ours. We could not show you your own card number if you asked.

What we see is what any merchant sees: your name, your order, and whether the payment went through.

Full detail, including whose PCI certification is whose: Payment Security.

Don't recognize a charge?

Email us before you call your bank. support@altf4.codes

We can look at an order and reverse it same-day. A bank dispute takes weeks, and we both end up worse off.

This isn't us discouraging you from disputing a genuinely unauthorized charge. That's your right and we won't argue with it. It's us saying the fast path is usually the direct one — and if it turns out the charge wasn't yours, we'd rather find that out today than in six weeks.

Why your payment might be declined

  • Address mismatch. The billing address you enter must match the address your bank has on file. This is required by our payment processor and we cannot turn it off.
  • Missing or wrong security code. The CVV is required on every online order.
  • Your bank declined it. We see that it was declined; we don't see why. Your bank can tell you.

A declined order is not a charge. If you see a pending authorization that later disappears, that's a decline releasing — not a payment we kept.
