- Persistent Progress: Resources and meta-currency earned from individual settlements are used to upgrade the Smoldering City, providing permanent bonuses and new unlockables for future runs.
- Randomized Events and Rewards: Players encounter various Glade Events, dilemmas, and reward choices that influence the direction of their settlement.
- Difficulty Modifiers: The game features a deed system, allowing players to unlock and select increasing difficulty modifiers.
Factions and Resources
Players manage different Dwellers, each with distinct needs and proficiencies:
- Humans: Balanced workers, suitable for various tasks.
- Beavers: Proficient in woodworking and construction.
- Lizards: Skilled in foraging and dangerous tasks.
- Harpies: Specialized in crafting and complex industries.
A wide array of resources (food, building materials, luxury goods) must be gathered and processed to keep settlements thriving and fulfill Royal Orders.
