ADOM Ancient Domains Of Mystery is a roguelike featuring a mix of story, RPG, exploration, and strategic combat. You navigate a vast game world containing hundreds of locations, including towns, randomized dungeons, elemental temples, graveyards, ancient ruins, and towers. You choose from many races, such as dwarves, drakelings, mist elves, hurthlings, orcs, trolls, and ratlings. You also select from various classes like fighters, elementalists, assassins, chaos knights, and duelists.

The game includes a corruption system that transforms you into a monster while providing benefits. You utilize spells, prayers, mindcraft, alchemy, and crafting. There are dozens of quests and branching story lines to encounter. You experience numerous endings, including driving away Chaos, slaying a god, or becoming an immortal. You can choose between ASCII and graphical modes.
