Product Overview:

This product provides a Steam Key for Crusader Kings II, a grand strategy game developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. Included is The Old Gods, an expansion pack for the base game.

Crusader Kings II Core Features:

• Dynasty-Focused Gameplay: Players control a medieval dynasty from 1066 to 1444, rather than a specific nation. The objective is to ensure the dynasty's survival and prestige.
• Character-Driven Mechanics: The game emphasizes individual characters with distinct personalities, traits, and relationships. These factors influence their decisions and interactions.
• Intrigue System: Utilize a detailed intrigue system to plot, scheme, and manipulate rivals through various actions such as assassinations, abductions, and blackmail.
• Succession Management: Manage complex succession laws and navigate the challenges of inheritance to maintain the dynasty's power and titles.
• Warfare & Diplomacy: Engage in medieval warfare, raise armies, and conduct sieges. Diplomacy involves forming alliances, arranging marriages, and declaring wars based on valid claims.
• Religion & Culture: Religion and culture play significant roles, affecting character interactions, casus belli, and access to unique mechanics.
• Open-Ended Gameplay: There is no set victory condition beyond the continued survival and prosperity of your dynasty until the game's end date.

The Old Gods DLC Features:

The Old Gods expansion primarily focuses on expanding the game's timeline and introducing new mechanics for pagan religions and cultures.

Key Additions:

• Earlier Start Date: Introduces an earlier start date of 867 AD, allowing players to experience the Viking Age and the fracturing of the Carolingian Empire.
• Playable Pagans: Makes various pagan religions, including Norse, Germanic, Tengri, Romuva, Slavic, and African faiths, fully playable with unique mechanics.
• Raiding Mechanics: Pagan rulers can utilize raiding mechanics to plunder neighboring territories for wealth and captives.
• Reforming Pagans: Allows pagan religions to be reformed, granting them access to organized religion benefits and new doctrines.
