Description
Dead Format is a survival horror game set in 1990s Scotland. You play as a sibling searching for a brother who vanished after becoming obsessed with a mysterious VHS format. You must uncover why the government wants to ban Video Ghastlies. Your apartment serves as a hub where you review clues and prepare for your journey.
You use a television set to play VHS tapes that open doors to cinematic worlds. These environments draw inspiration from Silent Era Cinema, Italian Giallo films, and 80s Body Horror. You search for supplies and key items to solve puzzles. You use weapons and tools inspired by these film worlds to face nightmares. You can save your game in the apartment and discover shortcuts to progress. Each world contains unique enemies.
