Description

Dicefolk is a tactical roguelite adventure where you act as a Chimera Summoner named Alea. You play as a young hero who discovers the power to befriend mythical beasts known as Chimeras. Your goal is to stop an evil sorcerer and fight forces that threaten to make humanity extinct. You recruit and create a team from over 100 hand-drawn creatures, ranging from speedy attackers to tough tanks. Each beast offers a unique set of abilities to use in battle.

You customize dice to control your team's attacks and influence the order in which actions occur during combat. You must strategize and adapt to different encounters, as each playthrough provides different rewards and creature encounters. You can also unlock talismans to learn the mystical secrets of the Chimeras.

Reviews

“Dicefolk stands out in an otherwise stale and saturated genre by having one of the most addictive combat systems I’ve seen in a long time.” 9/10 – Way Too Many Games “Dicefolk is an intriguing take on the roguelike that gives you an unprecedented level of control over everything, and still makes you sweat in battle. It's cute, the replayability is very high, and it's got some fun progression unlocks as well. Definitely grab it if you're a turn-based roguelike person.” 9/10 – TheSixthAxis “I’ve spent tens of hours in Dicefolk already, and I have no doubt there’ll be many more to come. It elegantly builds upon its simple concept with fresh and increasingly complex considerations, making you feel like one more run will never be enough.” PCGamesN
