Description

Diplomacy is Not an Option is a strategy game set in a medieval fantasy world. You build a town and establish defenses while managing your economy and engineering. You must raise large armies and utilize magic, including an active pause spell, to fight vast hordes of enemies. Over 25 thousand foes will storm your castle on procedurally generated maps. You can experience the game through four modes: Endless Mode, Story Campaign, Challenge Mode, and Sandbox Mode, or create your own scenarios using the Map Editor.

The kingdom faces an economic crisis caused by an egocentric king, leading to peasant revolts over taxes. You choose to suppress or join the rebellion. You will encounter the Sarranga tribe and the Undead. Every arrow and catapult stone is physically modeled.

Reviews

“Diplomacy is Not an Option manages to blend elements of tower defense, Command & Conquer's fast-paced action, and resource management without ever feeling overwhelming. I love that I never have to pause in the middle of a fight to worry about tax statutes or which of my spouses is secretly sleeping with the nobles behind my back.” PC Gamer “Diplomacy Is Not An Option is a compelling little game with short-lived appeal for super serious strategy fans, but one with loads of character and entertaining physics.” Rock, Paper and Shotgun “While not the most innovative in its genre, Diplomacy is Not An Option takes a solid focus on traditional tower defense and wave-survival city building, challenging you to manage resources and build a mighty castle to survive against huge, statistically varied hordes of enemies.” 9/10 – Try Hard
