Description
Karma: The Dark World is a cinematic psychological thriller played from a first-person perspective. The story takes place in 1984 East Germany, an alternate timeline governed by the Leviathan Corporation. As a Roam Agent for the Thought Bureau named Daniel McGovern, you monitor the population through mass surveillance and social class regulations. The corporation maintains control using mind-altering drugs and promises of a future Utopia.
You investigate crime scenes and interview suspects by using technology to enter their memories. You solve puzzles and use your intellect to reveal secrets involving espionage and betrayal. As you explore these surreal environments, you must preserve your sanity while the lines between reality and imagination fade. The narrative explores themes of family, love, loss, and control.
