Description

Legends of Eisenwald is an adventure game that combines strategy and RPG elements. You command a small feudal army while attempting to survive in a harsh medieval world. The setting is based on the mysterious lands of old Germany, where historical superstitions manifest into reality. This world contains no dragons or elves, focusing instead on human passions, fears, and sins.

You manage your troops through a dynamic combat system where every move functions as an attack. You can equip each fighter individually and utilize mounted units. You have access to a variety of spells, weapons, and abilities. As units level up, you progress through diverse upgrade trees that result in cosmetic changes. The campaign features eight chapters and a non-linear story. You may lose your gold, inventory, and troops.

Reviews

“Legends of Eisenwald is a diamond in the rough. It tries to do something I've never seen before, putting a focus on story, quest structure, as well as choice and consequence, which one almost always associates with a classical role playing game. It combines this with the game play of a turn based strategy game.” 4/5 – RPGWatch “The combat system of the game is very different from what the genre normally offers, and there are moments when its bloody results and focus on placement and movement makes it feel revolutionary.” 80/100 – Softpedia “Legends of Eisenwald is both a unique and quality game in a sea of clones, rehashes, and titles that disappoint.” Hardcore Casual
