Of Bird and Cage

Of Bird and Cage is a story-driven music game that functions as a metal album. You take on the role of Gitta Barbot, a 25-year-old drug addict attempting to escape the control of her captor, Bres Lupus. The narrative centers on the twisted relationship between these two characters, drawing inspiration from Beauty and the Beast. Throughout the experience, you face themes of madness, trauma, and violence.

In this first-person perspective game, you solve puzzles and make quick choices that lead to different endings. Your decisions shape the narrative, forcing you to choose between revenge or forgiveness. A two-hour symphonic metal concept album by Arnold Nesis is fully synced with the world. The music features various artists including Ron Bumblefoot Thal, Rob van der Loo, and Ruud Jolie.
