Recompile

Recompile is a hacking adventure set within the sprawling 3D world of a Mainframe. You take control of a semi-sapient program that struggles against deletion in a narrative taking place during one second of real time. The gameplay involves intense combat, tight 3D platforming, and non-linear exploration. You utilize super-powered abilities and a logic-based hacking mechanic to interact with the environment.

You encounter diverse and often hostile inhabitants while uncovering the truth about the Hypervisor. You can repair systems, restore data, or hack and destroy enemies. Many environmental obstacles like forcefields and elevators use interconnected logic gate circuitry that you can invert. You can even change the programming of inhabitants to follow your commands. Your actions determine the outcome, as the game features multiple endings.
