Description
Shenmue I & II is an open world action adventure that follows the journey of teenage jujitsu artist Ryo Hazuki. In 1986, Ryo witnesses the murder of his father, Iwao Hazuki, at the hands of a Chinese man named Lan Di. After Lan Di steals an artifact called the Dragon Mirror, Ryo vows to seek revenge. The story begins in Yokosuka, Japan, where you gather clues and confront gangsters. Ryo then travels to Hong Kong, China, to continue his search. He meets martial arts masters who provide insight into his father's death and the secrets of the Dragon Mirror.
You explore a 3D environment by examining objects and speaking with NPCs. You battle enemies using Hazuki-style jujitsu. The game includes mini-games and quick-time events. The world features day and night cycles, changing weather, and shops with operating schedules. NPCs follow their own individual routines.
