Sid Meier’s Civilization VI + Rise and Fall

Product Overview

Sid Meier's Civilization VI is a turn-based strategy video game developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K. The base game focuses on building and developing a civilization from an early settlement through millennia, competing with or cooperating with other civilizations. Players manage expansion, research, culture, and military, aiming for one of several victory conditions. This product includes the base game and the *Rise and Fall* expansion pack.

Key Features of Civilization VI

• District System: Cities are no longer single tiles. Districts like Campus, Industrial Zone, and Holy Site are built on separate tiles, affecting city planning and surrounding terrain bonuses.
• Unstacked Wonders: World Wonders now occupy their own tile and require specific terrain for placement, adding strategic depth to city and empire layouts.
• Active Research: The technology tree and civics tree offer boosts for completing specific in-game actions, accelerating research for players who adapt their gameplay.
• Dynamic Diplomacy: Diplomacy evolves from primitive interactions to late-game alliances and complex negotiations. Agendas for AI leaders influence their behavior.
• Combined Arms: Support units can now be embedded with other units, and similar units can be combined into more powerful "corps" and "armies."

Rise and Fall DLC Features

The *Rise and Fall* expansion introduces new game mechanics centered around the concepts of Golden Ages, Dark Ages, and loyalty.

• Golden Ages & Dark Ages: Empires now experience periods of prosperity (Golden Ages) or struggle (Dark Ages) based on their actions and era score. Entering a Dark Age presents unique challenges and opportunities, including the chance for a Heroic Age.
• Loyalty: A new city loyalty system can lead to cities rebelling and becoming Free Cities, or even joining other empires. Governors can be assigned to cities to boost loyalty and provide unique bonuses.
• Governors: Seven unique governors can be recruited and assigned to cities, each with a distinct promotion tree and playstyle, enhancing city specialization and loyalty.
• Emergencies: A new system where specific in-game events trigger "Emergencies," allowing multiple civilizations to participate in short-term alliances to achieve common goals, with rewards for success and penalties for failure.
• New Leaders and Civilizations: Includes nine new leaders and eight new civilizations, each with unique abilities, units, and buildings.
• New Units, Districts, and Buildings: Adds a variety of new content to further expand strategic options.

It is compatible with the Steam platform.
