Soulblight

Soulblight is a top-down action roguelike where you navigate a shattered reality called the Sanctuary. You must cross the line between good and evil while surviving in this dark, unforgiving environment. Instead of traditional experience point grinding, you utilize a Tainting Mechanic. You select a Taint representing a personality trait before entering each level. These traits provide your primary source of strength, requiring you to act according to your choices. For example, becoming an alcoholic rewards you for getting drunk, but remaining sober becomes difficult.

You encounter randomly generated levels featuring various weapons, armor, and utility items. The combat system focuses on stamina management and distance control, though you may also use stealth. Permadeath increases the difficulty, and you can add more Taints to your character during your journey.
