Description
In Starbound, you create your own story. You may choose to save the universe from the forces that destroyed your home, uncovering galactic mysteries. Alternatively, you can colonize uncharted planets, farm the land, or become an intergalactic landlord. You can hop between planets to collect rare creatures or delve into dangerous dungeons to claim extraordinary treasures. You will encounter ancient temples, modern metropolises, trees with eyes, and mischievous penguins.
You choose from one of 7 playable races to customize your character. You act as the captain of a starship, which you can decorate and expand to explore a procedurally generated universe. You use hundreds of materials and over two thousand objects to build structures. There are three game modes: Casual, Survival, and Hardcore. You capture monsters to fight alongside you.
