Description

To The Rescue! is a dog shelter simulator where you manage the daily operations of a facility for animals in need. You are responsible for the care of dozens of unique dogs, each generated with specific traits and individual preferences. To successfully run the shelter, you must address the needs of every animal, manage potential disease outbreaks, and keep the facility functional. You can pet the dogs as part of your daily tasks.

You work to match dogs with potential adopters by aligning animal traits with the specific preferences of visitors. When you have spare funds, you can upgrade your shelter with deluxe kennels or hire assistance for cleaning and upkeep. You must manage your resources carefully and make difficult decisions to keep the shelter open for future dogs.

Reviews

“I’m not sure how indie developer Little Rock Games got ahold of my gaming dream journal, but they did, and now we have To the Rescue, a game where you get to maintain your own dog shelter and work to connect animals with their forever home.” The Mary Sue “I came away from To The Rescue! hungry for more. [...] Earnest and colorful without being overly saccharine, challenging without being unfair, To The Rescue! looks to be a lot of fun. Now if you’ll excuse me, Zephyr needs his food changed.” digitaltrends “To The Rescue! is an excellent representation of the difficulties that dog shelters face on a daily basis. It also manages to provide an addictive gameplay loop, with the constant goal of trying to get your dogs adopted.” Nintendo Enthusiast
