Description
The DB BR 648 is a two-car diesel multiple unit built by Alstom as part of the Coradia family. This unit is designed for regional stopping services on non-electrified track. It rests on shared Jacobs bogies to improve stability, lower weight, and reduce noise levels. The vehicle features 422hp and reaches a top speed of 120km/h. It provides space for 115 passengers and includes low floors for step-free access.
The cabin utilizes exhaust heat from the engines for warmth, while some seating is raised to distance passengers from engine noise and vibration. You can operate the DB BR 648 in Deutsche Bahn Traffic Red livery. It is Quick Drive compatible for use on any enabled routes. The unit operates on the Hamburg-Lübeck Railway route.
