WarPlan

WarPlan is a World War II simulation engine. It incorporates elements from 50 years of board wargaming to provide a detailed recreation of the conflict. The simulation features a massive scale covering 70 potential countries. Each hex on the map represents 30 miles or 50km using Peters map scaling.

Combat occurs across land, air, and sea. You utilize operation points to execute multihex attacks and frontline breakthroughs. Air units can strike specific targets or provide automatic support for land forces. Naval operations include surface, submarine, and carrier combat alongside fleet and raider modes. You manage 20 unit types with 15 attributes, 17 technological advancements, and 5 specialties. You also direct generals who influence combat, mobile attacks, and retreats. Land units can be split or reformed, while naval units stack into fleets.
