Imperator: Rome

Imperator: Rome is a grand strategy game set in the classical Mediterranean. You navigate the complex worlds of diplomacy and politics while building provinces and conquering foreign lands. The game covers the centuries between the Successor Empires of Alexander and the foundation of the Roman Empire. You manage your population, monitor for treachery, and maintain faith with your gods.

You interact with a living world of characters who possess varying skills and traits that evolve over time. These characters govern provinces, lead the nation, and command fleets or armies. You choose your battle tactics to counter enemy stratagems. Each culture has unique military traditions and government types, such as monarchies, republics, or tribal systems. You manage citizens, freemen, tribesmen, and slaves, each with their own religion and culture.
