Description
Rising Dusk is an anti-coin collection platformer influenced by Japanese folktales. You enter a spectral land permanently stuck in twilight that serves as home to the Yokai. When a young girl named Tamako sees one of these creatures, she becomes trapped in their world. To return home, you must navigate this perilous realm and travel toward a strange mountain on the horizon.
You explore over 20+ levels including Rice Fields, Castle Towns, and Hot Springs. The game features a 16-bit art style inspired by Studio Ghibli. You encounter various demons, ghosts, and ghouls from Japanese mythology. You must avoid coins, which requires battling your instinct to collect items. This world contains secret exits, hidden items, and numerous easter eggs.
