Shadowgrounds

Shadowgrounds is a top-down shooter featuring explosive combat sequences and an intriguing storyline. You utilize a high-tech arsenal to dispose of an alien threat. Each weapon possesses multiple upgrades to maximize damage, such as the Flamethrower's Fuel Trap, the Grenade Launcher's Poison Grenades, and the Laser Rifle's Pinpoint Laser. You encounter many brutal bosses and massive hordes throughout your journey.

You explore various locations, including a secret military base and the alien-infested colony New Atlantis. The game uses realistic lighting and glow technology to create shadows. You can use your flashlight to affect alien behavior. The environment is destructible, allowing you to shatter glass, topple trees, and explode barrels. You fight alongside NPC allies, check security cameras, and review computer logs to investigate the origins of the aliens.
